Click on the "GetNetText" button to retrieve the text result of the http object in the field above right.
You can also type in the name of any other text or html object on the Internet, and the contents of that file, as well as the file's MIME type and modification date will appear in this text field. The netTextResult() of a non-text file will return nonsensical output, but the netMIME() and netLastModDate() functions will still return the proper information.
This movie also demonstrates the use of the NetDone() and netError() functions in a typical context. The idle script is used to manage the asynchronous nature of NetLingo commands.
This, and all the NetLingo demonstration movies, will only function properly if they are viewed from inside a web browser.
